Welcome to Frankfurt International Airport!

As there is currently no real contender to Asobo’s Premium Deluxe Edition airport rendition, a dedicated team led by Integralo has come together to develop a freeware version of Frankfurt Airport. The VirtualFRA team is working on this project in their spare time and is focused on the following features:

Custom buildings and assets
Accurate and up-to-date taxiways and taxi signs
Properly positioned lights and light sources
Dynamic aprons with custom 3D models
Custom GSX profile
And much more!

Installation Instructions

For Owners of the Standard MSFS Edition: Simply extract the folder to your MSFS2020 community folder, and you are all set!

For Owners of the Premium Deluxe Edition:

Open the “Content Manager.”
In the top middle area of your screen, locate the two small symbols on the right side of the search bar: a package icon and a list icon. Select the list icon.
Type “Frankfurt” into the search bar.

Uninstall the “EDDF-Frankfurt Airport from Asobo Studio” version.

If You Have BlackSquare Real Taxiways Europe Installed: Please delete the following file:
…/Community/bksq-euro/scenery/global/scenery/EDDF.bgl

Troubleshooting

If You Experience Issues: Please delete the following folders and files:

SceneryCache
SceneryIndexes
Content.xml

File Locations:

PC: AppData/Local/Packages/Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe/LocalCache
Steam: C:/Users/Username/AppData/Roaming/Microsoft Flight Simulator

Note on Current Development Stage

The airport is actively undergoing development. Please be aware that many buildings, assets, and textures may be missing or improperly placed. We are committed to incrementally adding more 3D objects and replacing outdated ones to enhance your experience.

Find the Community folder on your computer
- Windows – C:/Users/[Computer Name]/AppData/Local/Packages/Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe/LocalCache/Packages/Community
- Steam – C:/Users/[Computer Name]/AppData/Local/Packages/Microsoft.FlightDashboard_8wekyb3d8bbwe/LocalCache/Packages/Community
Copy the downloaded file to your Community folder like this: /Community/[MOD FOLDER]/[MOD FILES]
Launch the game and enjoy your mod!
