Description

All radio stations require a hud.gfx definition to be able to display on the weapon wheel, otherwise it’s going to glitch around. Unfortunately, that’s a file that is not easily editable meaning not everyone will be able to have HUD icons, or provide compatibility with other radio mods. This is a file set up with compatibility for all current radio stations, and with pre-defined slots for all future radio mods. This includes the texture sheet. All that mod devs will have to do is change the names of the pre-defined slots.

I also merged all Rockstar’s DLC stations into a single texture, because they won’t do it and I figured the texture dictionary would look neater without a million radio textures in it.

This file is free to use by everyone without needing to ask for permission.

You put this into “update.rpf/x64/patch/data/cdimages/scaleform_generic.rpf”. Should probably be common knowledge, but anyway.

Obviously it doesn’t mean you have to name your station “COMMUNITYSLOT”. Feel free to change the name (very recommended), or keep it.

1.04 update adds compatibility with the latest game version (1.0.2060.1). iFruit Radio icon will now display properly.

1.05 update adds compatibility to The Cayo Perico Heist (1.0.2189.0), as well as adds Spotify Radio and Chatterbox FM icons. Thanks to sjaak327 for helping me with testing.

!!! IMPORTANT FOR MOD CREATORS !!!

It is advised to update your mod with the latest version of the HUD, or to let the downloaders know to update to this one. Certain icons were shifted to future-proof against more Rockstar radios and using an older version of the .ytd on a new .gfx (and similarly old .gfx on new .ytd) WILL cause issues.

The 1.1 Update Is Finally Here!

This update adds compatibility with The Contract (1.0.2545.0), ensuring that the Media Player and MOTOMAMI Los Santos icons won’t disappear from the radio wheel anymore.

In addition, to freshen things up a bit, weapon icons are now included! Currently supporting the Fire Extinguisher (icon made by myself), as well as my Flamethrower and the vehicle weapons on Digital Deluxo and Technical Torero.

Version 1.11 Changes:

Adds compatibility with Los Santos Drug Wars (1.0.2802.0).
Added new resource: Community trackID. This is a gxt2 file that combines the trackID’s from all mods into one big file. This way, one will no longer have to manually merge these files, or end up with blank track names, or have to constantly update their mod(s) any time something changes. Unfortunately, I could not include everything as most available mods are overlapping with the game’s default ID’s. The trackid file is open-source on github, if anyone needs the text label names for any reason or wants to let me know of an update or addition to track names in their mod. The package includes two install options; manual for those who wish to drag-and-drop the gxt, and automatic which will install all languages (NOTE: this will overwrite the currently existing file).

Added support for w/’s Shrewsbury Dart Pistol weapon.
Added support for w/’s Sidio Pocket Flashlight weapon.
Added support for w/’s ProLaps Telescopic Baton weapon.

Adds compatibility with San Andreas Mercenaries (1.0.2944.0).
Added new optional resource: Community trackID (V Airwaves version). This is a gxt2 file that combines the trackID’s from all mods into one big file, with some adjustments and corrections to original Rockstar track names as part of the V Airwaves mod.
Added new optional resource: Beta radio icons. This is a successor to one of my older mods (https://www.gta5-mods.com/misc/beta-radio-station-logos) which changes the icon design of seven Rockstar radio stations to their cut versions.
Added support for girlsonfilm’s V Airwaves radio station mod.
