Description

This is a simple bridge I cooked up overnight for myself that connects the northern part of Los Santos Airport to Vespucci Beach. I’ve always wanted to create a bridge I could use to cross over the lagoon from LSIA to Vespucci beach and vice versa without having to go around or swim across so I created this little bridge you can drive thru. Obviously you can teleport from point A to point B using your trainer but, I like to keep it real plus it’s a nice little shortcut to have at that junction.

The bridge is very simple, just barges joint together and some street lights I added for night illumination but it does the job. Can be very useful.

I included two versions in the download, one is an xml and the other one is a ymap so chose the one you want.

Installation:

1) If you want to use the xml version you will need Map Editor
(You can either put in gta 5’s main directory and load it manually in game or put in the “AutoloadMaps” folder to load it automatically at game launch)

- 2) You will also need to install the “Object Spawn Unlocker”

(Install in main directory)

3) If you want to use the ymap version you will need the “custom_maps” dlc. If you don’t have it you will need to download Map Builder which includes the custom_maps dlc in the download

(You will only need the custom_maps dlc to put the ymap in, you don’t need to install the rest of the Map Builder files unless you plan on building maps of your own)

Bugs And Issues:

Since the bridge was made out of barges, the edges of it created speed bumps when joint together but you can still drive pretty fast over it even with the speed bumps however there is a small palm tree protruding out at the end of the bridge, on the Vespucci side (see pic). I could’ve delete that palm tree if I wanted to but, I decided to just purposely leave it there to give the bridge an old rustic look, like an old bridge that’s been there for so long that a palm tree grew out of it…lol….anyways becareful when crossing the bridge at high speed, watch out for that palm tree!.
This is a low profile bridge which means it hangs low, it barely clears the pier there so unfortunately certain boats can’t go under it, specifically sail or really tall boats. So if you’re one of those who plays gta 5 just to go around in sail boats then this bridge might be an obstacle for you if you wanna get inside the boat dock. I tested it out with many boats, including a yacht and they go under it just fine except sail boats.
There is a minor texture glitch with the supporting cement blocks underneath the bridge, they tend to disappear as you move away from the bridge and reappear as you get closer but, that’s not a big deal.
