Description

This is my first attempt at a helipad and this is to celebrate the opening of the new helipad in Campbeltown, Scotland. This helipad was built with funding from the HELP Appeal and is named in memory of local paramedic Robert Black, who sadly passed away last year.

Back to the scenery, it is laid out as per the proper pad with the correct lighting for night landings. Note that the green lights stay on during the day (a quirk of the lighting pack I used) so you may see the green lights at dusk before the orange lights in the circle turn on. You will need edhk-lights-pack for the night lighting to work.

Also, to allow you to spawn from this point (currently unsupported for helipads in MSFS as far as I can tell) I have had to hide a runway underneath the pad! This allows you to select to start on runway heading “26” or “08”, but basically just controls which way you face on the pad to start up.

For installation, unzip the file and copy the top level folder into your MSFS community folder.

Clearly You Need A Helicopter To Take Advantage Of This Pad…..and The Only One (and Awesome To Have) Is The Hype Performance Group Airbus H135!
Finally, I Would Welcome Any Feedback For Improvement….as I Said, This Is My First Attempt And Is Very Much A Learning Exercise!
