Exciting news for all Assetto Corsa enthusiasts! Following the success of the Cupra TCR, the team behind the mod is thrilled to announce the release of the Hyundai Elantra N TCR in version 1.0. This addition promises to bring a new level of excitement and competition to the racing experience.

The journey to bring the Elantra N TCR to life was unexpected yet fascinating. Initially, the modder wasn’t keen on the Elantra’s design, but everything changed upon delving into its TCR car manual. After some initial tests and adjustments using the Cupra’s physics as a base, the potential of the Elantra became clear.

A pivotal moment came when the modder connected with Mato Homola, a renowned Slovak TCR driver who competes in the TCR Eastern Europe series with the Elantra TCR. Mato’s interest in having the Elantra in Assetto Corsa for training provided the necessary motivation. Further encouragement came from Boris, CEO of Low Fuel Motorsport, who generously provided a commercial 3D model of the Elantra TCR, allowing the project to progress significantly.

The 3D model was detailed but required optimization for multiplayer racing. Through extensive remodeling and referencing the iRacing’s Elantra TCR, the final model achieved a perfect balance of detail and performance.

The physics was reworked extensively, making the Elantra distinct from the Cupra with its unique suspension, engine, brakes, and gearbox. While the tire files are shared, the suspension is meticulously built using accurate CAD drawings and measurements. The aerodynamic profile, based on available data, ensures a competitive edge.

The goal was to balance performance with the Cupra TCR, resulting in both cars retaining their unique characteristics while offering competitive racing experiences. The Elantra features a multi-page display, including a working launch control page, enhancing the racing experience. To run this car, players must have Content Shader Patch version 0.2.3 enabled for optimal performance.
